Thanks for another wonderful walk thru Melissa! I've always thought your store is just gorgeous. ❤💚❤💚❤️💚❤️💚 Our stores in Canada are lovely but this is spectacular. Tfs 🩵
Your store is so cute! I miss the old B&BW decor. I have a couple rewards expiring and I'm trying to decide whether I should just pick up something random that I'm not excited for or chance that the Emily in Paris or the new Pink scent will be out before the 31st. I am REALLY excited about those!
Hi there! Hahaha yes, that tree sure is towering! The story is, that tree is supposed to be set up on one of the longer/bigger tables (5 foot table like the ones front of shop.) but we only have a 3 foot table for the placement the location they wanted it in the store, which is almost half the size! I feel like that table is all tree with a little sprinkle of candles! 🤣 We sure had a good laugh when we had to make that table at floorset! 🎄
Hi Melissa, I love your videos! I really like the soft elegant music you play. I really feel like I am shopping in a very high end store. I want to truly enjoy shopping in Bath and Body Works but sometimes I just go in and buy what I need and not just stay and browse. How can I truly enjoy shopping there? What are your suggestions for holiday candles to give as gifts?
Hi there, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy the music, Jose makes all of the music for my channel so I always appreciate it when people notice it! 🎵🤎 I think shopping at Bath & Body Works can be super fun, but I know sometimes customers have expressed feeling overwhelmed by the amount of scents to go through, or even overwhelmed by some employees that might come off too strong. My best advice to someone wanting to go explore a little deeper in a Bath & Body Works is to really focus on looking at the front 3 tables in the store first. Usually there is one table front and center, then a table on either side a little bit deeper in. These tables usually include the newest features or the most relevant scents to the season. Also the times I've had the most fun shopping at BBW is when I've taken my mom in with me. It's always more fun to have a shopping buddy, and then you can compare and contrast how the scents smell on each other! Also sometimes if an employee is being pushy or coming off as overwhelming, I think my advice would be to ask them to help in small, non-intrusive ways. Once they feel they've helped you, they'll usually calm down and leave you alone if that's what you prefer. Usually the cause of an employee being too much is that their receiving pressure from management to make sales if the store isn't making their goals. If I sense an employee being a bit "sharky" when I'm in the mood to just be left alone to look, I'll usually let them say what they want to say when you first walk in. If they ask, "What are you shopping for today?" You can say always just something like, "I'm not shopping for anything specific, but I wanted to explore a bit." Then ask them to spray you a sample on a card of the newest scent. Smell the scent, and then say something like, "Thanks, I'll have to smell some others and compare. May I have a bag to shop with while I look?" then they'll grab you a bag and usually at that point, they'll feel they've helped you and you can be on your way to explore! Of course, if you don't mind being helped by an associate, they'll usually be more than happy to play spa with you, uncover the perfect scent for you based on your mood, etc. As for my favorite scents to give as holiday gifts, I try to prioritize the snowy themed ones because then they can be enjoyed even after Christmas is over. I love gifting Marshmallow Fireside, Merry Cookie, Fresh Balsam, and Frosted Cranberry. I feel like those are all really good gifting scents because almost everybody loves them! Sorry for the super long comment, but I hope this helps! 💖🍂🌲
@@MelissaC Thank you so much. I appreciate all the time and thought and it helps. Again I have to comment on the soothing and beautiful music. It brings so much elegance to watching your videos and is truly a gift to your viewers!
I do have the Platinum body wash and got it as a freebie. I bought 16 candles last week lol, three were from CVS, they were the Tuscany brand. Bought more soaps and even a few of the single wicks like Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow and Chocolate Covered Orange. I'm burning Caramel Pumpkin Swirl and really like it. GC's Cold Autumn Leaves is still burning. I saw the Christmas online preview candles and Snowflakes seems to be pretty dominant. Lavender & Pine looks intriguing.
I have gotten into the store and smelled some of the new arrivals. The Chocolate Covered Orange single wick is a favorite of mine as well. I’m looking forward to the holiday season and new releases on the way. Thank you for the fun store walkthrough; everything looked beautiful. ☺️
I can’t handle how early the holiday stuff is right now…we need to fully embrace the pumpkins and Halloween still!! Although caramelized lavender sounds lovely…
I'm never ready when holiday shows up in stores! 😭 I always feel so bad for Fall, but I keep it Fall in my home all throughout October and November until after Thanksgiving at least! 🤎🍂
@@CelineFerocious My percussion professor always said if you need sleigh bells at anything less than F to just play them from out of the room or back stage cuz they're just that obnoxious 🤣 So yes, the day after Thanksgiving is deserving of FFF sleigh bells all the way!
Thank you for the lovely store walkthrough Melissa - your store looks so pretty. I'm also most excited about the Chocolate Orange single wick. We have a treat that comes out in Canada every Christmas season called Terry's Chocolate Orange, sold in a little square box, all wrapped in foil and shaped like an orange, right down to separate segments, it's always been my favorite holiday treat 🧡🍊 🍫🤎 💝🎁 🎄
I'm hoping you will do a video on holiday gift ideas. For ladies I like giving a mist and body lotion but want to add one more item so I'm thinking of a coordinating color of fuzzy socks from The Dollar Tree and maybe 2 pocket sanitizers. Any ideas? Hope you will do a gift idea video. The one you did last year was outstanding!! I'm thinking of giving the Emily in Paris one when it comes out. (hopefully soon)
I might go to the store to check out the fall sale items and to see what's new. I don't think I'll like Platinum. My friend thought it smelled like cleaner. 😝 I can't get excited for Christmas when I don't even know what I'm going to be for Halloween yet! 🎃
Yes, you'll have to check out the clearance. My store brought out some leftover Summer stuff to include so if you missed out on some stuff from late Summer, you may see it! 🌞 I do t think I will be wearing Platinum either. To me, it smells like a perfume sample in a magazine... like, magazine paper and ink included! 🤣 I hear ya, I'm not ready for Christmas by any means yet! 🍂🎃🤎 I'm just getting started on all my cozy Fall festivities!
I live in Thailand. It s fun to watch video of store outside Thailand to see that is there any difference. I'm looking forward to hear your thought on Platinum scent, although it may take a while to be available in Thailand.
@@jejie.m Thanks so much for watching! Wow, Thailand, that's really neat! 🤎 What season are you in now? I know there seems to be a delay by a season or two when it comes to the product releases (and the weather! ☺️)
@@MelissaC In Thailand, in theory we have 3 seasons; summer, winter , rainy. Right now we are in rainy season. However, in reality we seem to have only hot summer weather all year round but during summer season it just getting hotter than other season. If you have opportunity, please come to Thailand.
Hi Melissa! I really enjoy your videos! Do you know if goldenberry mistletoe will make an appearance in the three wick candle this year? It was such a feel good sent for me last year! Thank you!
Hi there, thanks so much for stopping by! I don't want to spill too many beans, but just know that you'll be excited when the Christmas candles drop if you love Goldenberry Mistletoe. 😉🕯️
Hi Melissa, I just found your page and I liked your videos. I do have a question since you worked at B&BW. I've been desperately trying to find the name of a holiday/winter soap that possibly came out back in 2018-2019. It was a foaming hand soap, that had a big house on the front of the label - it felt like it could have been a house in the woods, with polar bears walking thru the snow, and I think the scent notes were a smoky lavender and amber. It was in a blue-ish possibly purpley bottle and smelled wonderful! Do you happen to know what I'm talking about? It may have been called Warm Winter Wishes? Im not 100% sure, but I would love to get my hand on it again. Thank you for your help! ❤
@@snowgirls2 I think my best advice is to have as good of availability as possible. For seasonal hires, they usually want to know that you'll be able to work Black Friday, Candle Day, the lead up to Christmas, and the day(s) after Christmas for Semi Annual Sale. Otherwise, I advise to make sure you know what scent or product you're currently loving from BBW and be prepared to roleplay a selling scenario with it. If selling is not your forte, these three sentences usually are enough: "What kind of fragrance do you like? If you like that kind of scent, then I suggest this!" Then read the notes off the back of the bottle and offer, "Would you like to try some on your skin?" Some BBW interview questions you may want to consider answers for are: 1. "Describe a time you experienced really good customer service and how that made you feel." 2. "Why do you want to work for BBW?" Or something along the lines of, "What does fragrance mean to you?" Other than that, just showing you have passion for the brand and that you're ready to help during the busiest time of the year should hopefully help! I hope these tips are helpful, good luck! You got this! 🤎😁
I smelled the new Platinum a couple of days ago, and I did not like it because it smells like it has ballet nights mixed in and ballet nights smells like an ashtray on me
